Kanop

Turn proof into a story investors can follow.

Kanop uses AI agents and satellite data to assess and monitor risk in nature-based investments. The team had a strong platform and a detailed investor deck. The deck held the facts. It lacked a story to carry them.

The problem

Every fact in place, no thread between them.

Kanop shared its working deck with us on 1st April 2025.

It opened on the raise, then moved through context, problem, solution, technology, market, team and financials. The reasons to invest now came after the ask. The strongest customer case sat in the annex. Nothing told investors why the founders had started the company.

The content was good. Some slides were dense, and the order made investors do the work of connecting them.

Investors had the information. They had no story to follow.

The shift

From invisible risk to investable asset.

We rebuilt the deck around one idea. Nature carries value and risk that financial markets cannot yet see, and Kanop makes both measurable. The platform became the answer to that gap, and every section after it had to prove the answer.

The process

Seven moves in two weeks.

We restructured the narrative, rewrote the copy and redesigned every page with the founders, then reviewed the full deck with Romain Fau on 9th April. Each move answered a question an investor would ask in the room.

  1. 01Open on why the founders started Kanop.
  2. 02Give investors a reason to act now, on the second page.
  3. 03Show why nature investment is changing now.
  4. 04Merge problem and solution into one table, with project developers and forestry added.
  5. 05Move the customer case from the annex into the main story.
  6. 06Show the world if Kanop wins, then what the raise makes possible.
  7. 07Say what Kanop wants from an investor.

Highlighted pages are new or moved. The raise now sits after the proof, and the reasons to act come before it.

The deck

The same content, in a clearer order.

The new deck opens with the founders. Romain Fau explains why they started Kanop, in his own words and signature, and states the mission in one line, “Make natural capital measurable, investable, and protected, at scale.”

Context follows, then one table that shows each stakeholder’s pain beside how Kanop helps. The platform, the vision and the proof come next, with the customer case in the main flow. The deck closes on what Kanop wants from an investor and the world it wants to build.

What changed

A live pitch built on one story.

Kanop came away with a pitch deck for live meetings that runs from why the founders started to what they want from an investor. Every fact from the working deck is still there. Each one now has a place in the argument.

“I’m impressed by what you did. It’s amazing.”

Romain Fau, CEO and Co-founder, Kanop, on the review call, 9th April 2025

Romain left the review ready to take the deck to investors, with a larger raise in view.
